Thread: The Obama Presidency

  1. Hobby Lobby isn't buying anyone a Plan B pill. People who use their health insurance to buy a Plan B pill are using their health insurance to buy a Plan B pill. Health insurance that they receive as compensation for employment.

Read that slowly if you must. I mean, if I take my money and go on a crack and hookers bender, is my employer buying me crack and hookers? Come on.

  2. Plan B is over the counter out here, $50. I don't think insurance even figures into it.

Lots of women have 'non-slut shamable' reasons to be on birth control, I don't understand what the problem is.

Hell, I don't understand what the problem is if they like sex and not babies.

I'm not talking about Hobby Lobby, because I'm not talking about the religious aspect. If you were a 50-year old woman, why should you have to buy a health insurance plan that covers birth control? It's a similar argument to the ridiculous notion of forcing young people to get insurance they don't want at all. It has nothing to do with medicine or rights and everything to do with socialist subsidization and redistribution.

If women of the right age want their insurance to cover birth control, great, let them pay extra premiums for it. Same with men of the age that need prostate exams, etc.

  4. Why on earth do you want so many welfare recipient babies, Yoshi? Birth control is way cheaper than your dick pills.

Following your logic, let's just mandate sterilization if you want to receive welfare. That would optimize the cost equation at a macro level.

  6. I still have to pay to bomb brown people, you still have to pay for birth control. We don't get to pick.

Jumping from a pill to invasive surgery? You were a little too eager in your scramble for a retort to think that one all the way through.

In my experience black women over the age of 45 in low income areas are all about it.

He stated cost as the only metric. It was his argument, not mine.

From the specific Hobby Lobby perspective, it's interesting to note that they cover 16 of 20 types of birth control. This outrage is entirely manufactured nonsense in the first place.

  10. Outrage over The Supreme Court handing out religious exemptions to laws does not seem manufactured, I'm sorry.
