I'm sorry you have a bad job, but if being a minimum wage drone with the potential for an increase in 5 years is so much better, why aren't you doing it?

I have in the past. Like I said, where I'm at there's little room for upward movement, but it is better than min wage. SO I hold this job and look for others in the meantime.

Dude, I was in no way complaining. Just trying to illustrate that life isn't so easily stereotyped as "go to college and you'll be better off." I don't think it wasn't worth it though, but it's not like I'm making six figures either.

If nothing else, I think it's the self-motivated who can always survive in lean times and better their lives in the long view. And if there are ways to encourage that kind of behavior, we ought to be. I don't see a continual upward climb in min wage as the de facto solution though.
