Go ahead and tell me it's Obama fault we're at 10% unemployment

No, I'll wait until we're at 20% after the small business layoffs caused by the health care disaster going into effect. Of course, Obama will be out of office then, so the next poor guy will get saddled with that mess. And those numbers still ignore the fact that a lot of people have had to take jobs making less, which is not a net employment improvement. Plus, Ramon is right about the census, and I can show you a bunch of unnecessary road work being done just to pad those numbers on our dime.

You know just as well as everyone else that Iraq didn't have a goddamn thing to do with overthrowing a dictator. If that was a concern of the Bush admin there were bigger much more dangerous dictators they could have worked to overthrow.

Even by that logic, one large, positive side effect beats 1,000 negative ones with no positive ones.

    Yeah, that's why it's called a stimulus.

And Obama is getting four more years after 2012 -who the fuck could beat him?

It's impossible to know in 2010; most people had never even heard of Barack Obama in 2006. I wouldn't be shocked if Hillary tried to dethrone him in the 2012 primary.

  8. That would be an epic WWE-style heel turn.

The "Oh yeah? Well Bush sucked too!" argument is growing tiresome. Obama doesn't get a never-ending kitchen pass simply because Bush fucked up. Nothing Bush did negates the fact that the bailouts were pricey turds that never should have seen the light of day. If anything, Bush's reckless, fruitless spending in his final six months should have served as one hell of a cautionary tale.

If Bush is the standard by which you are judging this president (or any other for that matter), you need to reexamine your priorities.

I can't see her being any worse. Even if she proved to be a completely inept president who got nothing done, at least we would be paying less for the lack of productivity. Who doesn't like a good discount?
