France is in a bit of a borrowing hole because of their expenditures, but they also export a LOT of luxury goods and have a very big middle class (jobs-wise) that can help support it. I don't think they'll be seeing a Greece-style nosedive any time soon.
France also has a lot more restrictions on the lifestyles its people can live, too, though.
Should have left God and the islamic extremists out of this. Islamic extremists don't pose much, if any, threat to American values. Tying Obama to this is just going to galvanize the liberals even further to their guns. As if the Tea Party movement needed that. They're already (mostly ignorantly) portrayed as yee-haw yokels.

The thing is while Bush may have been antagonistic and pissed off a lot of Europe, I'd think he also scared the living shit out of anyone wanting to do anything. At least, when compared to Obama who in his first year may have engendered warm happy feelings from the EU, has gotten no tangible support for it and it seems that all the folks who were afraid as fuck to mess around are now outright double-dog-daring Obama to stop them.
Depends on the region. The heart and initial soul of the tea party movement was about fair impartial government and anti-lobbying. It's been usurped in the past 6 months to a year by Republican agendas. Which wasn't the intended point, and still isn't depending on who's running the tea party campaign. They started when Bush was in office well before Obama took the crown.
I don't think he's saying he's a secret agent. Just doing shit that's corroding the safety of America. Making you guys ripe for another attack because the ter'rists won't no longer fear ya'll.
