    Boo, Hiss.

  2. I'd say "accident born of negligence compounded by ignorance", but I'd be worried about a personal attack card at this point.

You ask me to stop being retarded, but you're the one writing off the death of a lot of animals. Do you also shrug your shoulders at the idea of wilderness in Cali lighting on fire every other year? "whatever, fuck those bears and birds, and shit."
Your metaphor sucked. A house fire is a million times more pressing and serious than an oil spill, unless you happen to be a sea creature.

Regardless of how you define it, would you argue that the problem shouldn't be fixed as soon as possible, by whomever can do it?

    to you

  7. I don't give much of a fuck about someone's house burning down. This spill is affecting my livelihood.

I think it should be fixed as soon as possible by people who have expertise in this area - that isn't the U.S. government. Regardless of who fixes it, BP should pay for it. They caused this.

I don't think anyone has a lot of expertise in this area. The clean up, sure, but fixing the pipe, no. This doesn't happen a whole lot, or ever.

But hey, whatever, its just some fat rednecks and their jobs. Nothing that matters.

  10. dave is right.

Need some hardcore egg heads to figure out all the pressure and temperature calculations to find a real solution. BP's got the leak and they need to pay someone to fix it and clean up the mess. And they got the money for it so no need to get up in arms on that one. They clearly have no idea what to do, this shit is ridiculous.
