Oh, and on the whole CRA thing, the reason people think Republicans voted against the CRA was because of the Southern Strategy, which I have mentioned before in this thread (probably in response to your inanity, because I remember reading it before). Republicans consciously engineered a strategy to go after the white racist Southerners who were pissed off at LBJ for passing the CRA and other policies. The Southern Strategy revolved around stoking fears of black people, exploiting fissures in society, and using coded racist dogwhistles to appeal to racists without sounding racist yourself. That's how the South went from blue to deep red.

Doctors are often not very business minded. They tend to set "fair price" by the going rate in the area.

He may be wrong about a lot of things, but Buttcheeks is absolutely correct in his assertion that doctors got and still get completely fucked by Medicare/ Medicaid. And he is correct that everything that's been marched out onto the floor has been more of the same.

Which is why the whole thing needs to be dismantled and people need to demand more out of health care reform than simply government-underwritten insurance. You can't halfway do it. There needs to be public healthcare available for everyone who can't afford the private alternatives.

It fully admits that there has been a huge shift from shit like racist voting to voting on the premise of economics. It reads like even though the south has changed, that they felt like keeping the word around because it was convenient.

"southern strategy" is an out dated word. It no longer applies to only southern states. As it is defined, it works on any rural area that puts conservative economic and social norms before progress and positive change.

And is as politically incorrect as the argument that democrats pander to minorities by buying them with hand outs.

It is offensive politics of the lowest order.
