I'm not pissed at GM. I'm pissed at the Congress that gave them the bailout with that stipulation. I don't blame GM for accepting that idiotic gift.
Lick my balls. ExxonMobil and Goldman Sachs and countless other companies don't pay any taxes. GM's not the only company to do this shit. The WSJ op-ed page never seems to have a problem with that - shit they constantly advocate for lower corporate taxes.

And I suppose voting in more Republicans and corporate stooge Dems will fix that problem?
If they aren't trying to regulate while also giving handouts and tax free status, they can't be any worse.
Of course, the real goal of the next two years is to cripple Obama's ability to do anything, and that should be officially fixed very shortly. NBC, CNN, and Fox are all already calling it.

So, the only time elections matter are when Republicans win? Obama won by a landslide and had the right to enact his agenda. There are more ways to govern than just endlessly cutting taxes and starting more wars. The idea that only Republicans have the right to enact policy is repulsive and undemocratic.
Obama was elected because a bunch of people who have no interest or knowledge in politics, economics, or anything else of any value showed up because they thought it would be cool. He enacted as much of his agenda as he could, despite having control of both houses. It sucks, and his party is paying the price for it.
This kind of proves my point. You believe that Obama won because people who didn't "deserve" to vote for him voted for him. Well, guess what bucko, all citizens have the right to vote. That's kind of how it works. It was a long struggle to get to that point. Why do you hate America?
I certainly don't like the "tea parties", and I think the people voting for the "tea party" candidates are fools getting tricked into voting against their own interests, but it's their right...

People with no skin in the game have no business voting. People should never be able to vote themselves money when they don't contribute any. It's the eventual downfall of every democracy.
Un-American? The intent was for land owners to vote and no one else. I'd expand that to all tax payers. I'm downright progressive.
Maybe we should just let everyone vote. A newborn wouldn't have any less information than half the Obama voters.
