Thread: The Obama Presidency

  1. Prop 19 failed. Dammit.

They spread out so many falsehoods Democrats in office felt threatened if they did nothing even though their claims held no water whatsoever.
Obama never wanted input from across the aisle, though it may have been Pelosi pulling the strings. The bill was already written and was being expedited through committee when these PR-stunt "summits" were scheduled, which is why the GOP told them to fuck off. It was political gamesmanship, not a partnership to get health care right.

Again, what became of the Republican party after Reagan is amazing. It became an avatar for big business and corporations. They fight for their rights even though they should have none. They're not real people they're just businesses. And the truly magnificent accomplishment they've achieved is the brainwashing of people who aren't even in the same league as those they're trying to help. It's ASTOUNDING to see people making less than $250k wanting to help the rich get richer. After all, it's in the 80s when the gap between rich and poor got exponentially bigger. And you guys keep bending over to take it up the ass and ask for more. I just honestly don't get it and this one thought has made me contemplate jumping out of my high-rise office window.
You know who signs my checks? A guy who makes more than $250k. Burdens on society don't create jobs.

I agree with government fiscal tightening but social progress won't be made if we keep bombing other countries without focusing on our own society.
Social progress is an oxymoron. The hippies and their kids have been nothing but detrimental to society with the possible exception of music.

Democrats have no substance, but stopping them from doing anything else wrong was pretty much why the GOP reps were elected.

  4. You know who signs my checks? 20,000 hippies wanting Spin Doctors shirts and a little grass.

How sad is it that we have to import a Canadian to get someone with a clue in this thread?

  6. I never said you didn't win, but if all you want is to live in a shithole country, I don't see why you can't just go be the richest guy in Mexico and fuck off.

    Fiesta forever!

  8. Hey Drew, remind me to reply to you tonight. I want to type a very long-winded post but work is piling up.

  9. I'm young and want social programs. Many young, very hardworking individuals in New York City want it. I can't even fathom owning a place of my own when property tax would itself take 1/4th of my pay. That's not including the hundreds of thousands of dollars a shitty plot of land costs.

I'll type it for you, Ramon:

    "I agree."

You'd be right for the first time in this thread.
