We started as a country with a very limited federal government by design, the idea being that it's easier to control your fate and protect your freedoms if you keep as many things as possible as local as possible.

Some people can't even get their homeowner's association in check. Proximity of government no longer matters in the the digital age.

Why would you say that? Yoshi is more mainstream Republican from what I've gleaned. I'm more libertarian.

They really aren't all that different since neither you or Yosh' aren't explicitly pro-Jesus. Take the Jesus away and mainstream GOP'ing isn't all that different from the Liber'arians.

I don't know. i think Libertarians and Republicans actually do dislike Obama for different reasons. One is because he's on the wrong side, the other is actually what he does.
