  2. Honestly, our government doesn't really jell with us as a nation of people anymore.

    We want things done like yesterday. Government doesn't work that way. It is a long drawn out mess that involves a lot of work and effort that most of us can't be bothered with. Oh and money.

    Hell, take something I hate for example. Like all these assholes that appose abortion. What would I do about it? Write some letters to some representatives? Oh well, that will do a lot of good. Ok, whats the alternative? Organizing some kind of protests? Printing out pamphlets and traveling the state to inform people on the importance of abortion? Maybe buying ad space in papers or getting some time on one of those shitty local channels that no one watches?

    That sure takes up a whole lot of time and money that I could have spent on myself, doing what I wanted.

    No, its not a government by the people. The people are busy doing other shit.

    I didn't realize it was a contest. If people in the "underclass" have necessary skills, great. They are a critical cog in society. If they don't, fuck 'em. And the same goes for the wealthy if they aren't going to invest. Take trust fund leeches who never take their mouths off the nipple for example. No one will miss them.
