In a town in NJ near the Meadowlands, the bar and restaurant owners were up in arms because the Xanadu project would create new liquor licenses. In the town, the amount of licenses were fixed and were pretty expensive. The new ones would only be for the Xanadu complex, but would ultimately devalue the resale value of those in the town. Should this prevent the community from adding tens of thousands of jobs because the plight of a few thousand in just one neighborhood? It's not looking at the bigger picture.
Xanadu should be nuked from orbit. What a waste.
