At what point do we require that people grow up and take care of themselves? The reason people don't get off welfare is because it's not designed to get them off. It's a system designed to enslave people into voting for more government their whole lives to "help" them.

That comment from Yoshi on welfare is like, four decades outdated. "Welfare" in this country is, for the most part, tied to employment. The welfare that isn't tied to employment is mostly really short-term and puny. And even then it mostly applies to families.

You've generalized something based on your personal experience and then said this about someone else who did the same thing. However there is substantial evidence on this board alone that media mail is a safe way to send things while your single incident does not create a compelling argument for "they randomly throw away packages".

Your package could have been lost, mislabeled, at the wrong post office or just the person on the other end lied about sending/receiving. There's no reason to think they randomly open boxes with the intent of throwing them away regardless of content.
