Thread: Official PlayStation Vita Thread

  1. I was gonna get Virtua Tennis, but I figure it'll be $20 soon enough.

What kind of hotness can you DL PSP wise? I missed the entire boat on that one. I bought Corpse Party cause it seems super neat-o.
    Boo, Hiss.

Dracula x. Has unlockable original version and Symphony of the Night. You might have to buy it on your ps3 then transfer to the Vita though. Plays great with the Vita's dpad!

icarus is likely interested in Gradius Collection as well. The other two I always recommend are FFT: WotL and Tactics Ogre, but I am not sure if he liked SRPGs.

  4. That's probably everything you've played on the PSP. And WotL is one of the worst versions you can buy what with the attack animation slowdown.

For Vita, I have Mutant Blobs, Lumines, HSG, and Uncharted. The last is the only one I would recommend without reservations.

Oh, I have Disgaea 3, too. It's fine. The sprites actually look decent with the map zoomed out. Just annoys me the awful back touch pad has infiltrated its way into the series' usual fantastic interface. So you'll constantly be inadvertently zooming in/out of the map. If you turn it off, you then aren't allowed to skip through lists pages at a time, or quickly select your base panel or party members in battle. For a series so focused on grinding and repetition, these little things add up and go a long way in maximizing efficiency. It's really fucking irritating we have to take a step back now due to Sony's latest horrible idea.

  5. Persona 3
    Hot Shots Tennis
    Daxter
    Burnout Legend
    Test Drive Unlimited
    SFA3 Max

SFA3 does rule on the thing, as well as the Capcom arcade collections. They are a bit blurry, but not really bad even for someone anal like me.

Do you still recommend it if I've never played another Uncharted? Or would I be too out of the loop in terms of backstory?

  8. Yes I would. Also, it's a prequel so there's no backstory to worry about.

Correct. You don't need to have played any of the other games, this game does not reference them in any way shape or form.

  10. Turns out that I'm still really good at Hot Shots. Haven't played since the ps1 days, but scored 12 under par with 2 eagles on the first course.
    Boo, Hiss.
