I went ahead and got it too, no lockups here. Black Hole sucks nuts, but the other tables are good.
I played it all last night and today - it never locked once.
Boo, Hiss.

Wooooo
Ragnarok and Orgarhythm are being localized by Xseed! Vita saved yet?
Woooooo
Considering I am someone who was really excited by the details even leading up to its announcement, and I cannot rationalize a reason to own one, I'd say no. Let's go through the sell Yoshi one checklist:
[ ] awesome arcade racer
[ ] Bethesda RPG
[ ] Cave shooter
[ ] Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
[ ] Irrational anything
[ ] Konami - real Castlevania, Contra, Gradius, or Salamander
[ ] Matsuno RPG
[ ] Resident Evil
[ ] Sega - Yakuza or Valkyria Chronicles
[ ] Spector anything
[ ] Square Enix - Hitman or Tomb Raider
[X] Uncharted
[ ] Valve anything
I probably forgot stuff, but that's pretty awful.
I agree, that is a pretty awful list.
I love the PSP (and continue to love it) for like a hundred games you didn't list or would ever play. It's the ultimate weeaboo machine and I want to roll around in it. The PSV is very slowly coming around, and it will be all Xseed and Atlus games and I am 100% cool with that.
Unless it dies.

How is WO2048 on this machine? I am now swooning over HD/Fury but I hear 2048 is 30fps.
There is more stuff I would play once I owned one, but thankfully I successfully got over buying a system for its shiny newness with this one. This is probably the longest I have gone without owning a system after its launch since the PS1 or maybe even the 3DO (which I never got). A great example is Hot Shots Golf. I would unquestionably play that once I had the machine, but it doesn't make me want to drop $300.
But clearly the PSP, Vita, and even DS fit a lot of other TNLers' tastes better than mine. Thankfully Nintendo actually got their series that matter on the 3DS in short order (minus Metroid), so that's going to be my go-to portable for the foreseeable future.
It's definitely 30 FPS. Didn't really cause me any trouble.
The oddly distracting and busy track design was more of an issue. Then you get to Sol and you can almost forgive everything.
It was pretty damn good but not great.
They did mention some crossover between HD/Fury and 2048 with the DLC, so it'd be interesting to see if they can get it back up to 60 FPS now that it's not a rushed launch title.
