I was sitting down to sign up for PS+ to get Vita Disgaea and those other bonuses, and they just removed Disgaea from the free games. So much for that.
Anyone have a Disgaea they want to get rid of?

This upcoming financial year, Sony forecasts selling 5 million PSP and PS Vita devices. Not only less than a third of last year's initial forecast, but 2 million less than last year's sales. Promising!Sony have lowered their estimated sales forecast for the PlayStation Vita for a third time. In an earnings report for the company’s third quarter (ended Dec. 31st, 2012), Sony mentioned that they now expect to sell 7 million PSP and PlayStation Vita devices combined by March 31st, 2013.
In 2012, Sony initially forecast that they would sell 10 million PlayStation Vita and 6 million PSP devices, for a total of 16 million, by the end of March 2013. Then, in August, they revised that forecast down to 12 million PSPs and Vitas combined, without specifying an individual figure for each. Later, in November, they revised the forecast a second time, down to 10 million combined.
So they're not expecting to sell many PSPs this year. Shocking!
I pretty much hate everyone who doesn't own a Vita at this point, since they've ruined handhelds forever. I don't even think that last part is an overstatement.
Agreed, but hopefully this is a lesson to Sony that good hardware isn't going to sell without software, and they need to bring their A game with the PS4. Nintendo has already learned this the hard way, but without the good hardware part.
"Without software" is a myth that keeps getting propagated though. I guess you could argue there isn't a singular killer app, but the overall library doesn't have many glaring holes. And if you're a PS3 owner with PS+, you're an absolute fool not to have a Vita.
Killer apps are what sells the system to the masses. I've had one since launch and am a happy customer, but there's no Mario Kart DS, Super Mario 3D Land or Monster Hunter to push the systems out the door. COD could have possibly been that game, but that was a massive failure through no fault of Sony's.
