Blood: The Last Vampire.

The movie was ok, the series was shit.

That being said I still think the intro the the movie is one of the best ever in anime, right up there with Escaflowne.

The anime was ok. The bit where she smashed the girl in the hospital bed with blood going everywhere was awesome.

I assume you mean the series, because the animation in Blood was amazing and pioneered a lot of digital coloring and lighting techniques that changed the look of anime.

I didn't like the turn towards digital coloring in anime, it was one of the reasons I started to lose interest in anime, I thought everything was getting kind of ugly. So thanks for that, Blood.

I liked her character design (crazy lips!), movie was boring though. Didn't even know there was a show.
