I played the Max Payne games for the first time about a month ago. Why did no one tell me how fuck-awesome they were? Especially 2.

This'll be great. Bully wasn't a bad game at all. I'll have to replay Max Payne 2 sometime before this game comes out.

I really liked Bully up until the whole town opened up and it became a chore to balance out doing stuff in town with doing stuff at school... you basically had to pick one or the other to devote your day to, trying to travel between the two always left you feeling extremely hurried and short on time.
But Max Payne has more linear, stage-based progression so I don't think that will be a problem here.

The Max Payne games were some of my favorites from the last generation, and knowing that it's in the hands of a different developer is disconcerting. Still, I'll at least follow up on how it's progressing, but I'm expecting it to have a few unwelcome tweaks thanks to Vancouver's style.
