Arod tied the AL record for rbis in an inning. Also the major league record at 13 seasons with 30 homeruns, 100 rbis.
He went into the game, the last of the season, with 28 homeruns and 93 rbis.
He had a 2 hr, 7 rbi inning.

Its a big park but only truly plays that way because of the high walls. The dimensions are pretty close to Shea's but the walls especially in left field to straight center are much higher. The opposition hit almost twice as much if not more homers in Citi Field than the Mets. Just look at that Mets lineup they trotted out all the time. There was no power whatsoever most of the time.
As for Wright, I really don't know what the problem is with him. He hit 5 homers home and away respectively but he has struck out a ton (most in his career), he wiffs on straight fastballs he used to kill..etc. Maybe he tried to adjust for Citi Field but that really isn't necessary. Maybe the lack of protection is another reason. I don't really know.
Don't worry, Raystorm. There's always next year...

Miguel Cabrera was stupid drunk Saturday night during fight with wife..good going! I'm sure Leyland was tickled pink by the news.
Mets fire Sandy Alomar Sr (bench coach) and Luis Alicea (first base coach) to begin their offseason. Yep, fire the two coaches who probably had the least negative impact during games. The Mets also invited Wally Backman to interview for a minor league spot (AA manager I assume).
oh..this too..
Get the fuck outta here with that Ricciardi noise. The Mets have reached out to former Padres GM Kevin Towers and former Blue Jays GM J.P. Ricciardi to join the Mets staff.
I hope the Twins win tomorrow and get into the playoffs. I like to see them do well.
