Can the Dodgers ever sign a free agent and not have something bad happen with that player?

Luckily, the Dodgers still have a solid lineup that will still beat most other teams in the NL West. They probably wont be "21-8 dominant", but they'll win a good share of games. Maybe this will give Xavier Paul a chance to shine, because I sure don't want Juan Pierre starting every day again...

Also, as other people have already been hinting at, does this mean that Ramirez is going to take his $20 million player option for next year? Who is going to pay him more than $20 million now? Nobody wanted him this offseason...what about next offseason? Also, what are the Dodgers going to do about those $99 "Mannywood" seats they've been selling? Surely people aren't going to pay that amount for "Pierrewood."
