    Current top 25 dance songs

I love throwing parties and I love providing the music for parties and as such I've got assloads of party playlists, but I really don't have one playlist that is good to dance to all night long. Most of the party music I've got is just, you know, party music.

I've got a lot of classic dance tracks, some current hip hop/popular tracks and stuff, but I feel like I've got too much personal/quirky shit on here to appeal to a broad enough audience, and I also feel like I'm not growing my dance music much because I have my own favorites I keep falling back on.

So give me some fucking ideas! Tracks can be from any time period. What are your current top 25 songs to dance to? And I don't mean in your underwear by yourself.

    IN NO ORDER

    1. Off 2 Work - Dizzee Rascal
    2. Lights and Music - Cut Copy

    7. Hooch - Everything
    8. Heads High - Mr. Vegas
    9. Ghettochip Malfunction (Hell Yes) - Beck...Beck's got a lot of great tracks, but all anyone every plays is Where It's At. Shame.
    10. When You Get Out of Jail - Fried ft. The Rza
    11. Paris (Aeroplane Remix) - Friendly Fires ft. Au Revoir Simone
    12. Heart It Races DJ Rupture Remix - DJ Rupture/Architecture in Helsinki
    13. Crazy - Gnarls Barkley (This shit is still great)
    14. Gold Digger - Kanye (This shit is also still great, but I also really like Ride Slow, Flashing Lights, etc)
    15. Glamorous (In My Arms) - Fergie/Hellogoodbye mashup
    16. Jump Around - House of Pain
    17. Rhythm Sticks - Blackalicious (Blackalicious is fucking gold)

I know lists like this usually need the original poster to go first, so I guess I'll throw something together later.

haha la bouche is totally on my list but these days I get a lot of sideways looks when that shit comes on, so I haven't been playing them as much. I love that old 90's shit. Venga boys and shit, K7, La Bouche, Le Click, Mr. Vegas, The Wiseguys, Outhere brothers, Apache Indian, all that shit.

I really like Lights and Music off of In Ghost Colours, for a current track.

And shit-hop like Ludacris and stuff, the good Kanye tracks, they're all great.

Since I've been listening to so much non-mainstream hip hop lately I wind up playing a lot of that too, but it's really not always appreciated as much as the shit-hop.

Some stuff I really like, like Chemical Brothers' block rockin' beats, doesn't always turn out so well at a party. There's a lot of trial and error.
Really the best way to handle a party where you know most of the people is to have a big list full of good dance stuff on party shuffle on a computer and let people skip around, but most of the time I travel with just my ipod.

  5. I was a big fan of Teddybears: Soft Machine from a couple years back, nice warm weather jams. Iggy Pop's on it.

Black Kids: Partie Traumatic is fun, also.

    top 25 complete for now.

You can see I trend to be more complicated than ass-grinding tracks. I need more ass-grinding tracks. I check out popular hip hop on pandora a lot to get new shit for that.

This thread really isn't about me tho, it's about what you guys like too. I'll check out that teddybears shit.
