I already bought it, whatever
People complained about Blacklist and it was cool (probably got better reviews though)
Yeah, 82-to-71 so far on Metacritic
edit: I am having deja vu from when Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Harrison Ford, etc. all got too old, and douchebags like Keanu Reeves, Tom Cruise and Shia LaBeouf started getting action roles. Gaming is soon going to suck as much as movies.![]()

There are so many great games coming out in the next few weeks that I'm not too upset on waiting to play this. I'll definitely grab it when it hits $30 - $40 within a few months, since chances this sells well are pretty slim.

So this sounds like the first Thief 4 team was the ones screwing around and going nowhere, and then the Deus Ex: HR team came in at the end to fix what they could and get it out the door. I'm wondering if that's the point when the game sounded like it was starting to turn around and removed the QTEs and boosted up the difficulty and all that jazz.
From what I'm reading this game is actually good if you take advantage of those difficulty sliders but is kind of shitty on normal. Still not going to touch it until it's cheap, but at least it's nice to hear that there might be a decent game hiding in there after all.
I'm not feeling this game from what I have played. Even things that I wouldn't think would get dumbed and dulled down (like lockpicking) have been. Not being able to jump/rope arrow where I want is frustrating. The level design feels more like a set with a few interactive parts than an actual place to explore like the old games. I have been trying to enjoy it on its own merits without comparing it to the old ones. It's not horrible but it doesn't do any aspect well enough to grip me.
