I also had very little problems with the camera, aside from the mentioned final boss where they like to stick the camera in terrible places when you have to dodge the incoming transformation rings. It can be overcome with learning the timing, but it's not set up very well. It's also a pretty long fight so that certainly doesn't help (though the finale and credits are pretty cool).
The parry accessory is hard to use as it requires near precision, but I personally refuse to use items (like healing) in action games like this and DMC because I'd rather die and try again to learn how to play better. Out of curiousity, did you know about/were you using the Kilgore combo?
It's arguably game-breaking in some ways (not as much as the ultimate weapon, which is just insanity) but is a powerful force. Another thing you might want to try out is there are ways of unlocking all the items and weapons without actually beating the game on all difficulties, I know there's info on GameFAQs for grinding halos and using cheat codes at one of the phone booths.
I went to play this the other day and I don't know where my disc is. I hate people that can't put stuff back in its case.
