Hahaha I dunno, man, I'm just trying to come up with a reason why Guy Pearce was cast. Ridley Scott isn't stupid; why have Pearce as a geezer when there are plenty of older actors who would have been more appropriate? Because maybe the eventual plan is to see Weyland at Pearce's actual age. A total guess on my part, but it was a very odd casting choice. Who knows if we'll ever get a Prometheus sequel, or if we'll get more information in DVD special features or a director's cut, but it's hard for me to see Ridley making this type of casting choice without a good reason. It's not like the role required a younger guy, right?
