Was Odin Sphere any good?

I still want to finish it someday, but it wasn't that good. Imagine a side-scrolling beat'em up (you can't move up or down) where all your moves have ridiculous animation and you can only hit one enemy at a time, even if they're all stacked together. That means you get hit back a lot in frustrating ways. Also the RPG elements are a huge grind.

Wow God Hand is goofy in many ways, but an excellent brawler (if I can call it that). Maybe how ridiculous it was scared him off.

I'm in the same boat of wanting imports to get the PS2 Classics treatment. I lost my copy of Ring of Red and actually enjoyed it when it came out. Maybe I'll get it.

PS1 version of SF Alpha 3 went up for $6.

It's worthless since Alpha Anthology is available on PS2, but maybe it will lead to an Alpha game on Xbox Live someday.
