For anyone still using those multi-blade razors, here's a club that makes it pretty damn cheap and awesome. After this, you should never have to buy any of the expensive blades again.

Yesterday I picked up a vintage Gillette Slim Adjustable. Some searching shows its date code is 4th quarter production 1966, or an L4. Yes, you can still get new blades for it and yes it shaves like MAD. It's boss as hell! Razor and a pack of blades ran me 13 bucks. Blades are dirt cheap too, now I can tell modern age cartridge and disposable razors to go F themselves!

I'm still shaving with double blades and the old handle I found in a barn when I was 8.

Cartridges are the biggest crock of shit. It is super easy and fast to get the same shave (for me anyway) with the double edge blade. (both kind of suck though)

And if you want, put in a little more effort and work and you get a better shave than the cartridge.


Lastly, it may be a sugar pill, but I enjoy shaving this way more. I enjoy the process more. The whole making of the face soap and lathering it on.
