I actually was on our re-shoots of “Avatar” when I got the call from Sylvain White, the director for “The Losers.” He wanted it to be not only like the comic book but somewhat more visceral. It’s an amazingly real yet superbly comical look at these black ops special agents. And I loved the dichotomy. He was thinking the “Bourne” films and “24,” and yet he wanted to have comedy involved. We met. And he hired me. It’s all live action, 100%. There is some amazing action in that movie. You will be blown away. People will think, “Wow, that had to be CG.” No. Nothing was CG. We did everything. For real. I dropped actors and actresses on wires. I threw people through doors and windows. And Zoe … she’s a wrecking machine. I can’t tell you how much fun it was to work on that movie.

    No CG huh? NIIIICCCCEEEE!

  3. So I went and caught this on Sunday. The wife is a fan of Jeffery Dean Morgan because he was on Supernatural. I knew nothing about this and had no expectations going into it other then it was based off a comic series.

It was actually pretty decent and Chris Evans was actually pretty funny in the film. Action was good and the story wasn't some crazy over the top bullshit either.

  4. I saw this tonight. It was okay. I'm actually starting to become a pretty big fan of Chris Evans, however.

Oh, and LOL @ twig-woman Zoe Saldana holding her own in a fistfight with a guy that outweighed her by at least 100 pounds. I love that movie magic!

That article was bullshit. There was CG early in the movie: when the jet bombs the compound, and when the chopper full of kiddies blows up- all 100% CG. And it was horrible, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra-level CG as well. When you blow up a helicoptor full of children and the theater crack up instead of being horrified, you know you have yourself some shitty CG.

  5. This was good time, and yeah CG was very bad, though it added to the charm. Explosion at the end with death of villains was awesome.
