Eli Manning would absolutely not have a ring if he stayed in San Diego, because the defense wasn't good enough to hand him one. Perhaps that is the new model of QB though. Brady, Eli, and Roethlisberger are all very similar in that regard. And if you gave Eli and Roethlisberger Randy Moss and the power to audible to a pass from the one yard line every time, they would have passed for 50 TDs too.

It's like your opinion of Brady hasn't changed since 02, the only year that would be true. Brees doesn't do anything Brady hasn't done before. He had good teams in SD and didn't win, that's why they dumped him.

Oh come off it. He's been a top 10 QB almost his entire career. There are better guys, but he's good enough to be on any contender.

That says a lot more about the state of the position than Eli.

Incidentally, Eli's current QB rating is higher than anything Troy Aikman ever did. Their career averages are within 4 points of each other.
