  1. Not even Valhalla? Strange... they even played Run for the Night in Montreal.

Glad you made it and had a good time though. What's a "butterball"?

"Butterball" is the brand of a turkey, but it's also used to refer to anything that's fat. Romeo is a pretty big guy; I'm suprised his hands are still small enough to play guitar...

  3. Oh, heh, yeah and he plays it damn well too, and at the concert he kept fooling around on the stage, while still playing...

  4. SA canceld too huh? That's exactly what I didn't want to happen besides the Dallas show getting the Axe.

    Explanation of Houston cancellation
We have been receiving many mails about the unforseen cancellation of the Houston, TX show last week. The following is what we have received as an explanation:

"This is Roger Smith, the road manager for the Blind Guardian tour. The real reason for the show not happening is that Bobby the Houston promoter did not do his job. I tried to call, e-mail and even call his house. What really sucks is that I live in that city, and I wanted the show to happen. Before I left on this tour I told Bobby that he would have to do his best on this show. Blind Guardian needs a real house crew and Bobby isn't a real promoter. He could not get me into the club until after 4pm which I told him I needed a 12 noon load-in. Bobby did not do any promotions for this show. I myself and the booking agent tried calling the club and the promoter to see what the fuck is going on and did not get a reply from not one person, until 24 hours from the show happening. Im sorry but I do not work that way. The person to blame is Bobby the promoter from Houston."

This may cause more questions than it answers but we felt that we should at least pass some kind of information along. "

personally - thats still sounding like bullshit to me (after reading it carefully) - things should have been happening better on BOTH sides of the camp.... i dunno...

  7. Anyone heard of High on Fire? I got the new album Surrounded by Thieves because it got a good score in Spin from one of my favorite reviewers, and I'm digging it. Its heavy and full of D&D type stuff, the cover is a dark hell soldier holding a battle axe. *goes back to listening to The Yeti*
While I'm here I want to say that the greatest video ever is Dio's Holy Diver.

  8. Just make up the date... fuck.. I'll promote the godamned thing! Where's my spare 10 grand?

  9. Strange things happen when you sleep in front of the TV with cartoons on the night before a concert...I dreamed there was a Blind Guardian cartoon. It starred four bards, each of whom had a giant robot, and of course they could combine into one mega-robot (presumably called The Blind Guardian, though the dream didn't specify).

  10. I think the chances of them making up the dates missed are quite slim at the moment - fuck it, now I'm just looking forward to see if the upcoming Opeth tour will hit here.

now this has been posted on the main blind guardian page i linked above as well...

    Explanation of San Antonio cancellation
The following is from the band regarding the unfortunate cancellation of the San Antonio, TX concert:

"The promoter in San Antonio was told many times by the US tour manager Roger Smith that the band needs to run their desks, which Blind Guardian is traveling with, with special electricity and ground. They confirmed this by telephone to us. When we arrived nothing was there. We tried the whole day to make the show happen, but in the end we couldnīt get ground for the stage which would risk the life of all people on stage. We needed to cancel the show at 6 p.m. in the evening and we had built up all our equipment at this point. Also two amps did blow out because of this problem. We are sorry about this but this is the second time we needed to cancel a show because the promoters in Texas did not do their job!"

As the tour moves away from (the seemingly cursed state of) Texas hopefully things will progress more smoothly.

What a fucking bullshit remark. It almost makes one believe that the band won't even bother to play in Houston or San Antonio (perhaps even texas for that matter) on their next US tour - whenever that may be. Where's the fucking apology? It seems like we've all been brushed aside here... they're relieved to be gone from Texas? Fuck me, where's the sympathy for the fucking fans that missed out?!
