Wow its not at all what I expected. Much more mellower then I thought. I to was expecting it to be like the 2 bonus tracks off of BWP. But it is still very good. Just the perfect amount of mellowness for me. At first I was thinking this is just way to mellow, but as the song goes on and the vocals kick in it turns out to be really good. I'm glad I heard this before getting the Cd so now when I do get it I wont be as shocked. Definatley some good shit.

On another note, I find the vocals in Sweedish very cool. I hope they stay that way at least for this one song.

definitely has an early prog sound (the beginning sounds especially Dream Theater-ish)

at first i was somewhat confused and bewildered, but now i love it (the synthesizer was a big part is my confusion)

paragon (one of the few intelligent posters at gamefaqs) has told me that this is not from Damnation, but is something that Mikael recorded on his own a while ago

Hmmm...interesting. So if thats not from Damnation then the cd may still sound like there stuff from th bonus disk off of BWP. Seems then that I will be getting Damnation and the CD from Mikael's side project.

Actually - there is some news concerning that very thing you just mentioned FirstBlood - I'm gettting this from another message board:

"Basically here is the gossip on 'Damnation'...(remember this is the more mellow album!)

Earlier, In the IRC chat with Dan Swano, when asked about a full "Sorskogen" album, he said that Damnation IS the Sorskogen album, and 'Mordet' is on it, translated into English.

For people not quite up with the news about "Sorskogen" go to www.opeth.com for more info.

If you dont know what the fuck im talking about here is the song in Swedish that Mikael did a while back...this song is expected to appear on 'DAMNATION' and According to Dan Swano it is expected to be re-recorded in English.

So while this could be a rumour - it seems to be the current news on this track.
