Given that this is 1. probably developed by the SIE team and 2. developed for portables, I'm not too hopeful that this will be as fluff-free or challenging as the arcade Darius games. Definitely curious, though.

At least it isn't on DS.

  3. PSP is also pretty bad for this sort of thing.

The dpad on my PSP 1000 is horrid.

The 2000 is a lot better. I haven't played a 3000. Darius needs an HD remake though.

  5. Taito's been pretty aggressive with XBLA and WiiWare. I don't think expecting this to make it to consoles sometime down the line is very delusional.

    Good point. Fingers crossed.

  7. I use a 3001 now. I kept my 1001 in case I ever feel like emulating again, but I doubt I will. The d-pad on that thing sucked any enjoyment right out of any games I played on it. The pad on the 3001 is soo much better. Maybe I should get a 2001 and crack that for emulation.

  8. One thing I can say about the PSP, it fills the PS2's 2.5D void.
