Thread: What is the absolute state-of-the-art in HDTV

  1. 40in really isn't that big, especially if you mount it on the wall and you have a decent size living room. I can understand if your living room is narrow so you are too close to the TV.

    You gotta' remember that they measure TV's on the diagonal. 32" on a 16:9 is way smaller than the 32" you remember from the land of 3:4.

    The picture I'm attaching shows a 16:9 and 3:4 box with identical diagonals.

  5. 40" is closer to the old 32". 32" hdtvs are tiny.

  6. Yup, I have a 32" in my kitchen (which is small compared to any single house kitchen). It fits just right, but it would be tiny in a decent size living room.
