Blu Ray:
The Aviator
Blade Runner 5 disc thing
The Godfather Trilogy
~ Doubt ~
Amadeus (Theatrical cut version. The stuff added to the Director's Cut kind of sucks.)
When are the movies that put their eggs in the HD-DVD basket going to start coming out on Blu-Ray?
NyxQuest and Contra ReBirth - my first Wiiware purchases, and it amazes me that there are more DL games for the system that interest me than disc-based ones. Also DLed Lode Runner for 800 points on XBLA.

i got my life back! All that i need is 3 more hours in every day so that i can actually finish this one project that i've been dragging since May. After that, i'll be like the guy of Owltown, CO.

Games finished in 2010: who cares

You don't need help, you just need to stop buying things you don't need.
If anyone finds Rock Band 2 for under $20 from a magical Target, I'll be willing to buy it from you.
Graduated. Still got a thesis defense before I get my MSCS degree.
The phrase of the day is "it's about fucking time".
It's interesting that RE5 got bumped up two weeks, seemingly to battle Batman head-to-head. Hell, on Steam it even unlocks 3 hours earlier.
I also acquired RE5 PC. Looks awesome, but why the fuck can't I individually select the buttons to config?
My problem is basically this; I used to be the "collector" type, who always had to keep games long after I was done with them, and loved owning this huge collections for every console that I had. NES, Genesis, SNES, Turbo-16, Saturn, PSX, you name it, I had a ton of games, and sometimes I'd even collect games for a system specifically for the "collection" side of it (the NeoGeo Pocket, for example).
A number of years ago, I realized that that was really, really stupid, and owning games I wasn't going to be actively playing (again, or for the first time) was kind of pointless, and that all that resulted from having huge collections of games for every system was my having a ton of shit to pack up and somehow take with me whenever I moved.
I started getting rid of a lot of my games (or put others in storage so I can later get rid of them), and at this point the most games I have for any of the current generation of systems (putting aside the DS for a moment) is the 360 with about 15 games - probably about half of which I'll be getting rid of once I've finished them.
So, I think the DS, for me, is me allowing myself to have one system in which I revert back to my old "collector" mentality, partially because I love the DS so much because it makes me feel like a kid with an NES again. (That feeling of an era of simple, more enjoyable games.) I didn't want to fall into that kind of pattern again, but I'm only doing it with the DS, and I never buy games for anything close to full price unless they're games I honestly and absolutely want. Plus, to be fair, my collection has been helped by the fact that I do a lot of DS reviews for Play, so I often get copies of the games I'm reviewing anyhow.
I still don't agree with my buying games "just because", even when they're cheap, but there you go. The DS is my vice, and I admit it.

I can relate completely, 'doshi. Gaming OCD is an ugly and expensive thing.
Looks like a sweet Retro Gamer issue.
Well...
You posting about getting Robo Army reminded that I always wanted a sweet NeoGeo collection. Thankfully, the prices kept me away from that. *laughs* I have all of like six or so games for mine, but as much as I've tried to sell my Neo, it's hard. There's just something awe-inspiring about the thing that makes you want to keep it, if nothing else than for the fact that you can break it out and enjoy people's reactions when the ask what in the holy hell it is.

I was going to say, if you are going to collect games for the sake of a collection, go with Neo Geo since the games on that system is actually good. As opposed to all the DS garbage that you will most likely never play again. It is more expensive but in the end, you get what you paid for.

Exactly. I have actually made the mistake of selling at least three different Neos. Right now I have an awesome set up with an AES and Super MVS II Converter hooked up via RGB through an XRGB 2 plus. I think the only way I would let this go is if I finally break down and get a cabinet. For that reason (and the price in a lot of cases), I am only getting MVS carts. I know I can't resist the cabinet forever.
Lot of EXPENSIVE garbage on the Neo.
Well...
Someone explain to me how YellerDog is any different than Biff and why we can't permaban him too.
You gonna tell me how Shock Troopers 2 is worth $150?
