One level may not be enough, but I wasn't feeling it. The weird acceleration, jumping, overall slowness...
...then I turned on Sonic 2. Forgot that it is also, with rare ocassions, pretty slow. Although the weight of Sonic when he runs and jumps is much better.
The big thing I thought everyone at TNL knew and loathed about newer Sonic's is that the franchise isn't JUST about going fast. Sonic 1, 2, 3, and S&K had some smart level designs that gave the adventerous exploring types plenty to find, just like it gave speed freaks a reaon to slow down once in a while.
Not that I'm saying making Sonic 4 so deliberately slow is a GOOD thing...but I don't think its nearly as terrible as people are makig it out to be. I'll pass and wait for Colors though.
