I'm tired of seeing Shia play the same character in every movie. Maybe this will be his break out role or something.
... or maybe he'll just play the punk kid in over his head, like in all his other movies.
I think there was another thread for this movie. If so please merge.
Story so far ...
Set in New York City, the film takes place 20 years after the original, revolving around the 2008 stock market crash. The film's plot mainly centers around Gekko acting as a more of an anti-hero rather than a villain, and follows his attempts to help Wall Street before its soon-to-be stock market crash, and to repair his relationship with his daughter Winnie (Mulligan); though all of his attempts are unsuccessful. While Gekko is trying to fix his relationship with Winnie, Jake "Jacob"'s (LaBeouf), mentor Lewis (Langella) unexpectedly dies, Jacob blames Bretton (Brolin), and soon after makes a deal with Gekko; Gekko helps Jacob get revenge on Bretton, and Jacob helps Gekko repair his relationship with Winnie, who is Jacob's fiancee.
What Gordon Gekko looks like today, once he's out of prison.
Shai Labouf and Carey Mulligan:
The Actors/Actresses:
Micheal Douglas reprising his role as Gordon Gekko
Susan Sarandon
Josh Brolin
Shai Labouf
Carey Mulligan
Vanessa Ferlito
Frank Langella
And yes Charlie Sheen will reprise his role as Bud Fox, but only in a cameo role.

I'm torn, I loved the first Wall Street it is my favorite movie of all time. Yet, seeing Shia in this is disconcerting. Oliver Stone being the director again is a bit comforting though.
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
You should have seen the previous script. This one at least Stone and Douglas approved. This version they at least had a hand in the script and said the previous one Gekko's actions would have been out of character.
also: it was shitty.
Oh god ... terrible.
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
also set in China.

Moar pics.
I am starting to think this might be good.

Gekko tries to "save" Wall Street with Shia? Not only will this be an abomination, it will tarnish the original.
Shia lapoof will be in this tribute to sickening amounts of greed.
Fuck this noise.
