I like Jamie as the captain a lot. He knows exactly what he's doing and he plays with fucking fire. I believe there is a rule against it because the captain is the ambassador to the refs and it would cause too much interference if the goalie had to come out of the crease to talk to the referee all the time, and would have to skate over for bench conferences.
Hextall gets credit in my book too, but currently? Turco certainly can handle the puck but he's far less steady than Brodeur, and I'm a Turco fan. I'm really sad at the drop in his play and how bad his team got after that marvelous playoff series against the Sharks. He and Nabby put on a motherfucking show.
Turco's never been able to hold it together for a full season, but usually it's early, but when his team got bad his confidence just left it looked like, AND his team was bad so I mean he didn't have too much of a chance.

Someone needs to tell the coach that your goalie isn't all that young anymore and that finishing first in the regular season is meaningless. Your backup, Danis, is more than capable of playing 15 games.
Brent Quitter isn't the coach anymore. Lemaire isn't going to misuse half his fucking roster and tank his team in the first round. That idiot couldn't find a spot for Brian Rolston, who is 12-9-21 +5 this year (before tonight where he's scored again) and playing in the top 6 where he should be.
I also think the team used all its energy covering for Clemmenson for 50 games last season. They were out of gas in the first round.
Speaking of points, the Devils are the first team to 50+, though Pittsburgh is only minutes behind. Of course, they've also played two more games.
