I don't know how you can say that after last year's game 7. But, whatever. If you think Brodeur is fine @ 38 going into the playoffs having played 80+ games then more power to you. I think it's foolish. And completely unnecessary. Danis is a decent back up.

The last time you started this bullshit he went on a four shutouts in ten games streak. The Devils have lost playoff series for a lot of reasons, but I have yet to see one that was the result of Brodeur being tired.

This team needs a center so badly. I can't believe we still miss Gomez? Maybe? Probably not. There just aren't any good FA centers around in the league, just young dudes that are all locked up. All we have are wings. Something needs to happen.

Both of those goals were good. The second one you could argue was soft, but I'd blame the defense more for allowing such a strong initiation to the goal than Brodeur. The first goal was a thing of beauty. Any goalie, great or not, could have missed that one. Especially with the huge scramble going on in front of him.

I had 17 assists in fantasy yesterday and 3 goals. 8 by defensemen, and 7 of those came from 2 defensemen. Alfredsson was a steal and I don't think I lost any player starts after picking him up on the DL, he was playing 3 days later.

Varlamov is going to be a steal as well, especially since I've been able to roll Howard for Detroit.

Just consider it updating the question. I was debating not starting him today as I already won the GS stat this week and my opponent has no goalie start today, but we're tied in wins so I figured I'd go for it despite the fact that I was barely winning Save % and was barely losing GAA. Looks like it's going to cost me a category instead of gain me one.

2 GA was my limit for this game. Maybe I can hold on and pull out wins in both, otherwise I traded a tie for a loss.
