Whoa. Not a bad deal for the Rangers I guess, but not a great one either. Olli is pretty solid even if he's old. Getting rid of Kotalik was a good move, 3 year 9 mil contract on a -18 player who just doesn't care enough to play two ways? Forget it. Prust just seems like baggage. It just seems like Olli is beyond putting the effort in for solid two-way play as well, so I'm not sure how he's gonna work with Torts.
I haven't really been watching Olli this year. Hi numbers are...fair, average 20-25 goal pace. Definitely outproducing Higgins. I think once again the -9 is a big factor in the Rangers decision to get him gone, but from what I've seen Higgins hasn't played too poorly. He definitely wasn't getting it done offensively though to his numbers from '05-'06 to '08, but I mean look at his teammates.
Probably a good move for the Rangers in the end. I don't know what the fuck is going on in Calgary but I bet it has something to do with Brent Sutter being a piece of shit.

I can't blame anyone for having second thoughts about trading for Kotalik.
Oh the trade is still on.

Supposedly Sutter the GM is worried that he wouldn't be able to get all the players to Sutter the Coach/"Quitter" in time for tonights game against the Flyers of Philadelphia, so he held off.
Meaning Jokinin suffers a trade ending injury tonight.
Cammelleri out 6-8 weeks. Bye bye Montreal.
I know where they can get a number one center...all it will cost them is Halak. Hell i'll even give em a couple of wingers and dman.
Ryan Miller getting lit up by Crosby so far. Owies.
Yeah, really annoying to watch.
