Don't Vista and Windows 7 have speech recognition built in? If you're running either of those OSes, start there. I've used the Vista version and it was comparable to the expensive Dragon software in accuracy.

Hey. I have a 30 minute long interview I recorded that I need to transcribe and I really don't feel like typing all that shit out. Are there any freeware programs out there that can take recorded voice and translate it to text? as long as its decent I'll be happy.
