  1. I didn't really know how to get it until I was at Sigma 3 and just didn't want to bother getting the two extra lives and then dieing a bunch of times to get some item to break the game. I'm not saying the game is bad, it was still fun. I just thought Sigma kinda brought down the game and that it isn't as charming as some of the best Megamans. And the attempt to put serious plot in there is kind of grotesque to me. My only other problem is that the game is essentially all about you hitting 3 buttons all the time; it's kind of irritating. Also the games just really fucking easy, Sigma was only hard because I kept trying to figure out another strategy other than sit in the corner and shoot him when I drop down.

    I wish I had realized to use Charged up Lightning and normal lightning though, so like I said I was doing it wrong and probably would have helped. Otherwise most the bosses are jokes. Also some of the powers are just so awesome. Charged up Sting chameleon fucking makes you invincible to everything. I loved that.

    But yeah I'm not say it was bad or that I didn't enjoy it, but it wasn't as incredible as I remembered it.

  2. 36) Shadow Blasters (Sage's Creation, Genesis) 238,000 pts. on default

    This is a Mystic Defender type game, only with a more urban/futuristic setting. The god Hyprion assembles four warriors to stop the demon Ashura. SB's first 6 stages can be played in any order, and you can swap between the 4 characters at will during a game. With powerup items, you can raise the power of your characters' uncharged attacks. Level up your uncharged attack enough times, and you've got that character's max power charge attack without having to hold the button down. A "special" button allows you to use screen clearing Ninjutsu type attacks but you won't really need it. It's also possible to level up your characters' jump power and speed. Some of the jumps you must do are actually a bigger threat than the enemies.

    Shadow Blasters is solid, but the default difficulty is unfortunately too low. Go directly to Hard mode.

    31. Machinarium (PC)

    epmode summed up this game so simply and elegantly: It's the best adventure game since LucasArts got cancer. My only regret is that it took me a year to pull the trigger. It's like Metal Slug and Fate of Atlantis had babies.

  7. Megaman X2: Pretty much improved all around except the last two sigmas are even easier. Holographic floating head Sigma is just a bit retarded. Shoryuken made Agile LOL worthy holy shit. It was also much less retarded to get (Actually it was kind of neat having to do the air dash followed by the flame dash). Flame dash is a pretty neat skill and X3 is on my list, though I should put some more time to Xenogears. Overall pretty great game!

  8. Shantae: Risky's Revenge- Better than the original in nearly every category. The only problem i have is that it's way too short. It felt like there should've been at least another two dungeons.

  9. 10. Professor Layton and the Unwound Future - A great addition to the Layton series. The story was really, really good. I was glad too because I thought part 2 had a pretty crummy story after the great story of the series' premier. A must have for fans.

    Single credit cleared the first loop on Strong mode. Type A. As everyone says, it might as well be easy mode. Weird that they wouldn't just label it as such; there seems to be no attempt to balance the ship modes at all. Second loop play and/or Power mode seem to be where it's at. There's a lot to like in this game, though. Laser management is a hell of a lot of fun. The scoring surprised me, too; like in Ketsui, it's kinda irresistible and feels really natural. I won't have much else to say until I put more time into it! That initial clear only took a handful of attempts.
