Thread: Completion Thread: 2010 Edition

  1. I think Finch might be trying to say something.

  2. After he said that he was so angry he started hitting me.

  3. #4 Bayonetta

A darling of a game to many here, I thought it was pretty good. Surprisingly long (took me 14 hours on normal) the controls are the best part of the game. I got my ass handed to me a lot, I can't count how many times I got killed. Aggravating at times, I couldn't get too annoyed with the game because most of the time it was my fault. If you don't pay attention, simply button mash or aren't patient to look for your openings and capitalize, you'll get murdered. The move list is great, the controls are tight and responsive and the animation is pretty nuts.

I thought the monster design was pretty terrible all around though. Just ugly and stupid looking and not enough variety (which seems to be a big complaint of mine for most games now). And good lord, what is it with Japanese devs and making you fight the same bosses 4 times each? I didn't care for the motorcycle or space harrier level at all either. Surprise QTE's led me to a cheap death more than once and the camera can make its way to a shitty angle that can be pretty annoying (if temporary). Not many complaints in all though, it's a good game.

That's more of a Capcom thing. And yes, it's always sucked.

  5. #4 God of War 3 - So, what can I say, it was quite epic. But as many said it just blew its load in the first half of the game, and sadly what came at the end was way less epic than a frigging GOW2, sans awesome graphical presentation. Also, story really sucked at the end. Its like they didn't know where to go with it, and just dumped bunch of stupid into the mix to make it feel deep and grand.

Zeus fight sucked ass too Still, another 70% of the game was pretty cool.

  6. #9: Heretic II (PC)
It's not a FPS like its prequel, but it is still a good game. H2's 3rd person action is better than Tomb Raider, with movement control similar to a FPS. Corvus' melee combat has been improved, and some of the magic attacks from the first game return (you still can turn enemies into chickens with the Morph Ovum, and the Hellstaff returns). The melee staff can be used to pole-vault for certain jumps that would normally be impossible.

I'm not counting on a Heretic 3, unfortunately. H2 didn't sell quite as well as it deserved, clocking in at around 29,000 copies.

Are you talking about FFXIII? I thought you liked it...

    12. Shadow Complex - Good and short and I still didn't want to do 100% at all. I rarely do anymore.

Nope, i'mma lovin' FFXIII. It's a game i play in occasional long chunks that i enjoy coming back to, unlike every other game that i put in one or two long sessions and never play again. I'm not very likely to finish it, though, because that's how i roll.
I was being a jack ass in response to people investing time in games they don't even like.
