    10. Street Fighter IV (iPhone)

    Yeah, it's questionable to list a fighting game here, but since there is a tourney mode, and I am unlikely to play it competitively, what the hell... It's still an odd feeling when I flip pages and see this icon on my damn phone. And the fact that the virtual joystick and buttons actually allowed me to win the tourney without losing a match or turning on special assist is just amazing. If I actually remembered the Supers, I would have probably had an easier time. Time to crank up the difficulty or use other characters. I wonder when Cammy is being released.

  2. 11) Half-Life (PC)
    A great FPS, even if the graphics look a little dated. Get the Blue Shift expansion (or the separate HD pack which is free) for improved models which are taken from the canceled Dreamcast version. The story is decent- Gordon Freeman reports to his new job at the Black Mesa lab, and major shit hits the fan on his first day. The military even gets involved, but they want a complete coverup - meaning all witnesses including Freeman must be silenced permanently.

    The 357 is the best gun in HL, IMO- giving even a point-blank shotgun some serious competition. Using it on certain enemies will result in a 1HKO. OTOH, the bullets for this one are hard to find.

    Pass the pipe. The only way this game hangs with Uncharted 2 is if it brought along shoe polish.

  4. 12) Half-Life: Blue Shift (PC)
    This expansion was originally made as downloadable content for the canceled Dreamcast version of Half-Life. You're playing as the Black Mesa security guard Barney Calhoun (who later appears in HL2). This one's over a bit too quickly, but it's not bad.

  5. 23. Sam and Max The Devils Playhouse Episode 1 The Penal Zone - Well that was brilliant. Definitely the best Sam and Max so far and one of the better things that Telltale has done, they seem to just get better and better the more games they make which makes me very happy. Can't wait to see where this season is going, I do like the fact that they're taking a nod from Tales of Monkey Island and making the episodes even more closely related it seems.

    11. Dragon's Lair (iPhone)

    This went on sale for $0.99 but was almost one of the more expensive games ever, since it made me want to throw my phone more than a couple times. Imagine the well known but awful memorization-based gameplay with the added frustration of 1/10 of the movements not reading on the touch screen. One interesting thing is that a lot more of the animation is recycled than I had remembered. I'd say there are only a handful of truly unique scenes in the game when all is said and done. I pity the fool who fed this thing quarters to get laid in the 1980s. He should have just bought cocaine instead.

  9. #7 Professor Layton and the Mysterious Village- cleared that one a week ago, give or take. I did a handful of the bonus puzzles but by the time the game was done, I was ready for something else. I like to think I'll go back and do cleanup later, but it doesn't seem likely. Still, Diabolical Box is definitely on the list of things to check out at some point in the future.

    #8 Trauma Team- Yeah, it's a reviewable, but I beat the whole game on its equivalent of Normal difficulty. It was a lot of fun but the difficulty level has been tuned far too easy. Even the very last surgery I cruised through with an A ranking first try. That's a long, long way from the first Trauma Center on DS, whose last level still ranks as one of the heaviest bits of game concentration I can recall.

  10. #10 Professor Layton and the Curious Village - solved 115 out of 120 puzzles. That's enough. Most of the puzzles are pretty stupid, only a few are genuine logic puzzles, and not optical illusions or word games. Meh.
