Thread: Completion Thread: 2010 Edition

Yes, I actually played through this infamously bad Alf game. It's short. It's stupid. It has some of the most fucking annoying enemies in gaming. I knew not to buy it back in the day. Yet, I think the fact that it sucks so bad made me slightly enjoy it somehow.

  2. I got as far as when he launches his ship into space. IIRC, there were a ton of enemies coming at you as you flew upward.

  3. So bad it's good.

  4. #32) Jurassic Park III (Konami 2001, arcade)
920K pts., Continued once late in game, 2nd player joined in midway through.

Scoring high on JP III requires you to rack up Critical Hits (headshots or hits on boss weakpoints) and NOT use too many continues. Continuing makes your Critical Hit bonus go back down to 1000-
if you can keep the same credit, it can go up to 5000 eventually. While you have an Escape button to use on boss battles, there is a time limit- but you still have plenty of time to make the kill.
JP III is not very long (about a 15 minute clear time from what the endgame stats said) but it's decent- someone needs to release a JP: Arcade Trilogy for Wii & PS Move (yeah, Sega developed the first two so
there'd be a little bit of licensing trickery involved- unless Konami and Sega partner up on this one).

This 920K score didn't make the list- there were some good records on this one, with 1.3M for first.

    Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)

  5. Medal of Honor (360) on Normal. It's not bad. It's not CoD, either.

  6. Just finished Castlevania New Adventure Rebirth on the Wii. Talk about a joyless experience. Iga really knows how to shit them out.

    #38 - Sonic Adventure DX (XBLA) 250/250

What a hulking, steaming turd. There were little corn nuggets of a game that could have been good buried in there, but to get at it you'd end up forehead-deep in terrible gaming excrement.

I wonder if complete mastery of this game will give me a new appreciation for SA2. I actually kind of want to try that out (along with the other 3D Sonics, lol lol)

edit: I think I made a numbering error between 8 and 9, so I'll count this as #37 again to fix it.

new edit: numbers were right, reverting them

Best review ever. Although I loved the game in December, 1998. I even wrote one of the first FAQs for it.

    edit: The first FAQ. *flex*

Finished it again, this time as pro-registration. Not as bad as I remembered, but the lack of classic comic love makes me a sad panda. I don't like the adherence to a comic storyline either. I'd rather play an original story. Still, I'll go back and finish it on Legendary with my powered-up characters. Hulk, Thor, Storm, Fury = unstoppable!

  10. I knew I was right all these years
