My dad does this. It seems wholly impractical and uneconomical to do on a large scale. It takes a ridiculous number of tomatoes to make a bottle of ketchup.

And people that try to drown good food in ketchup aren't going to know the difference anyway.

As nice as the idea of cooking down whole tomatoes is, like you said, it's impractical.

I picked up Stillwater's Cellar Door and Debutante on my work trip to D.C. (SUP WHOLE FOODS DISCOUNT ON BOOZE I HATE YOU PENNSYLVANIA)

Opened the Cellar Door tonight. Not blown away but a really nice Saison nonetheless.
