Bourbon is cheaper than beer. There are about 15 drinks in a 750 ml bottle, so about $7 per pour from a $100 Pappy. Now think of all the $7+ bottles of craft beer you drink. My pours aren't even that big so i get more like 20 drinks from a bottle. Also consider that Pappy is one of the most expensive bourbons. There are great ones that cost $25 a bottle.

  3. There are 17 shots in a 750. So it's actually a little cheaper than that.. But I can't afford craft beers at $7 a bottle either. In fact I can't remember the last $42 six pack I bought. That's why I wish I was rich.

  4. I would love to get TNL started on whiskey, but it seems there isn't much interest here. It's strange because everyone I know irl has started drinking the whiskey. Its been trending for a while.

  5. When I do have the cash I indulge in some bookers, makers, buffalo trace, sazerac, whatever small batch is new. Bourbon, scotch, these things don't survive very long at my house

  6. Here's some suggestions if you're interested. Next time you feel like Maker's try a W.L. Weller 12 instead (or the Weller Antique if there's no 12yo). Rittenhouse Rye Bottled in Bond is a great alternative to Sazerac. Both of those bottles are about $20-$25.

  7. Done.

I like Scotch more, but I do like JD Honey Whiskey.

    You are the problem

You realize this is the equivalent of you saying you like Bug Light Lime, don't you?
