That's maybe not ridiculously far from the place in South Plainfield depending on how far north you are. That's like right at the southeast border of Morris County, almost. Might be worth the hike, they have like over 1000 different beers. You decide.

I make no apologies for who I am.
See you in the cross roads so you won't be lonely.

Yes it is.
Yeah I checked out their selection and it is pretty damn nice. I noticed on Southern Tier's website that the Creme Brule stout is made in June. So I'll probably head down there around then and try to get some of that bad boy.
I'm going to be enjoying a damn fine Murphy's tonight in honor of St Patty's day.
josh have you tried the brewdog bashah? if you liked sublimely self righteous, youll probably like that too. apologies if its been mentioned already.

I am just wrapping up my trip. I flew down to Albuquerque (they call their airport a sunport which is fucking weird) and drove an old clunker I sourced on Kajiji from it to my parents winter condo in southern Florida. Along the way I ate mexican, cuban and southern food and all of the beer I could drink. It has been an outstanding trip. I finally got to try Dog Fish Stout, and a few others mentioned in the thread. Epic journey. The trip has cost me about 900 dollars because of how cheap food is down here.
I learned of an awesome chef named Rick Bayless. Who isn't native to the region (his shit is in Chicago) but he apparently is the king of high-end mexican style food. I will travel to Chicago next year to see the city and go to his places. Fucking amazing. Mexican beer so far has sucked, though. I tried Tecate. For some reason it's decorated with a weird german-reich looking black eagle. Modelo, Sol, Léon, Bohemia and stuff that I can't readily find in Canada (Dos Equis and Corona are). They're not all bad and go with the food quite well. Just not my cup of tea. I will do this again some time. The scenery is out-fucking-standing. So much different than the Canadian shield and Boreal forest I have around me. Next time I'll probably go to Albuquerque and go the other way to California and up the coast depending on the time.

I like Tecate and Pacifico alright, all the rest of em can fuck off. I only really like those when I'm in the southwest, though.
