Thread: Windows 7 and Vista God Mode

  1. Windows 7 and Vista God Mode

    Make a new folder on your computer and give it the following name:

    GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

    and windows will fill it with an organized list of shortcuts to hundreds of windows settings.

    The only caveat is that it does not work properly with the 64bit version of Vista.

  3. Or you could just know your way around an OS.

  4. Seriously, is there anything that you can get here that you cannot just type into the search window in 7?

  5. I don't think so, but I'm using Vista. It's pretty much just the list of all settings that can be searched for.

  6. I'm not sure how useful it is (especially since I'm using 64bit Vista), but that's a really cool and weird "easter egg".

    Godmode is pretty sweet. I wish I knew about it when I first installed. Yeah, you can search for it all but having it in one simple window is easier, plus a new user might not know what exactly to search for.

    It reminds me of TweakUI in older versions of Windows.
