Definitely a poor design in the shifter. I always put on the e-brake whenever I stop the car, but I see people don't do that here.

I usually put on the e-brake when I park my card. Odd enough, I'm not into the habit of doing that with my wife's Jeep Liberty, since it's an automatic.
