I just found out Kevin Meaney died a couple of weeks ago. Guess I can't count on TNL anymore.

In the mid 2000s I was listening to a Cohen greatest hits cd at work. A dude came in and I turned off the music. We started talking and he asked what I was listening to. He said put it back on, it sounded good. Leonard then started singing "I'm your maaannnn." Dude hung out for an uncomfortably long amount of time. He saw my cigarettes and asked if I wanted to smoke. I said sure, anything to get him out of the store and one step closer to his car. He then asked me if I wanted to talk. I, being quite naive, said we have been talking. He said, no, like really talk. You look like you want someone to talk to and I'm a good listener. You could come to my place after work if you want.
I awkwardly maneuvered my way out of that.
I've never shared that story with anyone, not that I can remember anyway. Leonard Cohen almost made me gay.
