I don't remember The Rockford Files at all but I'll always remember him from the Maverick movie & Space Cowboys. At least that's all that comes to mind when I think of him.

He was also in The Great Escape, Maverick the TV show and a bunch of other stuff. Silver Age Hollywood is dying quickly.

I always liked James Garner because he is the spitting image of my dad. I mean, they look like twins.

Sounds like some of you jerks need to watch the Support Your Local Sheriff/Gunfighter movies.
I can't think of anything I ever saw of his that I didn't like. He had a charming screen presence and always seemed to be smiling about something, much like Clooney.
