December 2009 Winner: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

Last month was pretty lame. Zelda was decent but I'm getting a bit bored of the series at this point, and the forced microphone elements didn't help. It didn't have much in the way of competition, though, so I can't really disagree about it being the best game of December. In the land of garbage, the competent rehash is king.

Fortunately this month has been pretty awesome! There weren't a ton of major releases, but there were a half-dozen really great titles. Bayonetta takes neo-brawling to a new level, Darksiders manages to out-Zelda Zelda, Mass Effect 2 is amazing like every BioWare RPG except for Jade Empire, the PC got a great indie game, and even the Wii got two great titles that aren't minigame compilations or fitness trainers! Mass Effect 2 is easily my pick for this month, but that doesn't mean that I don't think that most of the other titles on this poll are fantastic.

Have not played Mass Effect 2 yet... so it will be a close call between that and Bayonetta.

I wish I could vote twice as Tatsunoko vs Capcom is fantastic, but I have to give the vote to my 2nd favorite 360 game behind Pac-Man CE, Bayonetta.

Bayonetterz is pretty rad from the demo, I will never play Mass Effect 2 and I don't own a Wii, so... YES.
